Colleen was the second of seven children born to Loren Sam Patterson and Elizabeth Jane Halferty. She married David Oxford on 29 Dec 1956 at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas. She gave me three wonderful children, one of whom died within days after birth. She was proud to be a military wife and provided love to her family for over 26 years.

END NOTE: One might ask, "Why such a short bio for the Lovely Lady"?

It would take a book to tell of her actions and accomplishments as a loving wife, mother and friend..., with only a few sentences added to include those troubling times that proved she was human. She maintained a home and cared for our children during my frequent and sometimes extended military absences, all without complaint. She well understood that she was very loved and, if not in our heart, it was clear in our Duty...., "The Air Force came first."
